Jw`s know where you live , You now need to know where they live .
by smiddy3 inthey come uninvited to your door step and try to discuss bible/wt doctrines with you, and many times or on occasion you do so.. you may even exchange first names with each other , and that is fine if you are happy with that but do you know where they live ?.
but they have an advantage over you .they know your name and where you live .!.
you may know there first name but you don`t know where they live .that is the advantage they have over you.. does it really matter ?

In one congregation, because a bro hadn't sign the form saying they could have his data, they wouldn't use his name or surname. So what he did some part on the platform, he was introduced as Brother Blank.
Maybe this is happening in other congregations. If so, even if they know each others names and addresses, they can't tell anyone unless the right forms have been signed.
The householders are probably safe, so long as they don't sign anything and ideally don't show any interest in the message.

They are not racist. That's one of the decent things about them. But its only on the surface because to be accepted you have to submit to the GB.
Therefore, they prove to be anti the Christian conscience of ALL races.

stan - you learnt all the time counting tricks from the CO. I remember being given a whole new angle on counting time when I worked with someone who served where the need was greater. In Boots buying eye shadow - you can count your time. I think that was a bit extreme. And no she didn't place a tract.
I'll never forget an elder saying to me - "I am just going to support the brothers on the trolley." So he walked up the road, looked at the trolley and went into Specsaver.

Thinking back - I used to actively under-report. Even if I had done more, I'd just put down an hour and I would try hard not to put my report in unless pestered. In the end I changed my mob no so the group conductor couldn't contact me.
But I know that the elders would make up time for people who didn't report. They'd pull a figure out of thin air. Any elders (current or ex) posting here care to admit they did that?

No but when said I was coming off pioneering I realised I was being offered a golden ticket. Do what you want, just appear like you are doing it. But please keep pioneering.
Whenever I couldn't do my hours I would tell the elders - but I thought, "this is voluntary, why am I seeking their permission?"
It was a bit like when I went to pioneer school and got given money to go. I thought, "I gave them that money, now they have given it back to me. This is stupid."

Massachusetts is on catch up - someone had that idea a long time ago. But worded it better.
(Ephesians 4:29) . . .Let a rotten saying not proceed out of your mouth, but whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers. . .
The carrot and stick benefit/penalty is cheap and easy to administer - you reap what you sow.

Sisters
by truthlover123 induring the first talk tonight, the brother giving the talk indicated that now comments were to include sisters!
previously mostly only brothers were mentioned in most prayers or comments - has anyone else heard this tonight?.
the meeting seemed to be positioned directly to and about sisters.

by Moster ini was ministered to by several different people at a jw funeral i attended today.
one older lady said to me, "you know the end is right around the corner, just look at the state of the world today".
i said, "well yes but that has been the mantra for decades, remember 'stay alive till '75'".
